Stormy Kromer Hat

Special | 7m 21s

A look at how the iconic hat from Wisconsin's Northwoods was rescued.

The Stormy Kromer is a hat invented more than a hundred years ago by Kaukauna native Stormy Kromer. It's a clever combination of a baseball hat with pull-down earflaps. The Kromer has been part of Wisconsin history and culture for more than a century, but it almost went extinct when production ceased. We'll show you how this iconic hat from Wisconsin's Northwoods was rescued.
