But the International Institute of Islamic Medicine aims to look into the past and chronicle the medical knowledge from centuries ago. Meet Dr. Husain Nagamia, a cardiovascular surgeon in Tampa Bay who is trying to document, research, and educate on the history of Islamic medicine.
